Acetal copolymer is also referred to as polyacetal, or polyformaldehyde. This is a semi-crystalline polymer or high-performance engineering material used in a variety of scientific applications. Acetal copolymer has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, high specific strength and toughness, resistance to damage and strong machinability. Owing to these properties, acetal copolymer is used to replace conventional products, such as plastics, in compact automotive manufacturing. It is used to produce prototype parts that require low friction, strong chemical resistance, tolerance to heat and corrosion, good thermal stability, etc. It's secure in alkaline environments.

Acetal copolymer is employed to generate precision excellent dimensional sliding properties and impact resistance. These precision components are used in automotive and electrical & electronics applications. These products are simple to mount, weather resistant, cheaper, lighter and deliver different performance advantages than traditional materials which drives the demand for the market growth. However high competition among the global giants, and strict government intervention restricts market growth.

Regional Analysis:

The global acetal copolymermarket has been segmented into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East & Africa. Asia Pacific dominates the market for acetal copolymer. Tremendous improvement of the automotive industry in growing economies, is projected to spur the global acetal  copolymer market. Boost in acetal  copolymer consumption for various applications, involving automotive, electronics and communication, and construction, is likely to propel in the region. North America is the second largest acetal copolymer market. The increasing awreness and rise in disposable income leads to increased investments in automotive industries thus driving the market growth. The acetal copolymer market in Europe is expected to expand slowly due to increased demand for home appliances,  medical products, automotive parts. The Middle East and the African region will be among the latest advancement in regional economic growth , especially in the creation of production facilities. Latin America shows sluggish growth due to the lack of manufacturing bases present in the region.
