Asphalt emulsion appears as a black colour liquid, it is also called bitumen emulsion. It is the mixture of three basic components which include water, a small amount of an emulsifying agent, and asphalt. The emulsifying agent is composed of large molecules which sometimes also called the surfactant. These components are introduced into a colloid mill, which shears the asphalt into tiny droplets. Additionally, the asphalt emulsion is mainly utilized for building structural pavements, stabilizing and reclaiming bases, preventive and corrective maintenance on both concrete and asphalt pavements, and recycling worn out pavements. The product finds its applications in road construction & paving, roofing, and airport construction.

The increasing demand for asphalt emulsion in the road construction will fuel the market growth. The asphalt emulsion can be used without additional heat and does not require a petroleum solvent to make it liquid. These are the main factors, which leads to contribute to energy savings. Also, it is environment friendly and provides skid resistance, minimal hydrocarbon emissions, radially coat damp aggregate surfaces and minimal fumes. These factors surge the demand for asphalt emulsion in road construction. Hence, increasing demand will propel the asphalt emulsifiers market growth during the forecast timeline.

However, the high demand from various applications causes a lack of availability of asphalt emulsifiers. Which impacts its overall demand and anticipated hindering the market growth.
