Automatic Train Operation System (ATO) is a part of the Automatic Train Control (ATC). This system is used to automate the operations of trains. There is a Grade of Automation (GoA) that is present in this system, which consists of 4 grades. According to the level of grades, the train is automatically controlled without any staff on board- from acceleration to accurate stopping.
