Glycol ethers are a group of organic solvents based on ethers on ethylene glycol or propylene glycol. These solvents have high boiling points and are usually used in paints and cleaners. Glycol ethers are called E-series or P-series, depending on whether they are made from ethylene oxide or propylene oxide.
