And permanent stents are used to reduce urinary obstruction secondary to BPH, RBUS, and others. Permanent stents are used only for the patients unable to take medication and undergo surgeries. Sometimes due to worsening of symptoms like migration, clot retention, and others may lead to removal of permanent stents. Currently there is only one FDA approved temporary stent named “The spanner” which helps in maintain of urine flow and only FDA approved permanent stent is “Urolume”.

Furthermore, technological advancements by manufacturers is also triggering the growth of the market in the near future. In addition to this, robotic assisted minimal invasive procedures that help in early diagnosis, fast recovery and reduced length of hospital stay are positively influencing on the growth of prostate stents market. Moreover, rise in research and development activities coupled with mergers and acquisitions are also boosting the growth of the market.
