The melt blowing technology is a manufacturing process that is utilized in the microfiber nonwoven fabrics, in which high-velocity air blow thermoplastic resins, to produce self-bounding web and fine fibrous. The raw material such as polypropylene, polyethylene, and polybutylene terephthalate is used in the production of melt blowing nonwovens. Additionally, the melt-blown nonwovens exhibit various beneficial properties including fine fiber diameter, web strength, fine fiber orientation, and provide low weight and high surface area. It is highly used in hygiene & healthcare, automotive, and electrical & electronics applications.

The increasing demand for melt-blown nonwovens in the automotive industry will flourish market growth. The melt-blown nonwovens aids to enhance overall comfort, reduce vehicle weight, and provide advanced insulation in automotive vehicles. Further, due to its versatile nature, it holds vital importance in the diversified transportation vehicles and passenger as well as commercial vehicles. The rapid growth in the automotive industry coupled with innovation in the automotive vehicles will boost the consumption of melt-blown nonwovens. Hence, increasing demand will fuel the market growth during the forecast timeline.

However, the production cost of melt-blown is high, it involves heavy machinery such as extruders, hoppers, winders, and collectors. Hence, this is anticipated to hindering the market growth.
