Aerial Services Awarded Five-Year USDA PINE Aerial Imagery Blanket Purchase Agreement

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) PINE Aerial Images contract recently chose Aerial Services, Inc. (ASI) to supply countrywide aerial imagery and process high-resolution orthoimagery. ASI will compete under the terms of the blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to supply high-resolution, vertical imagery to support various Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) geographic information system (GIS) programs, including but not limited to resource management, conservation initiatives, crop compliance, and disaster response.

The General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award contract vehicle will be used to award the USDA PINE BPA contract in the fourth quarter of 2021. The contract will have a five-year ordering term. The National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP), the National Resources Inventory (NRI), the Stewardship Lands (SL), the Ad-Hoc and Disaster Programs, and other resource initiatives are special projects covered by the BPA.

Increasing Demand for Aerial Imagery in Oil and Gas and Construction Drive Market Growth

The Aerial Imaging Market is anticipated to increase as a result of rising construction and development activities, increasing resource and energy management requirements, and other factors.

A major driving force behind the development of aerial imaging is the use of high-resolution mapping and surveying in a variety of industries, including architecture, oil & gas, solar energy, engineering, construction, commercial and residential development, sewer management, roadway design, roofing, water treatment, traffic engineering, and other fields.
