Coagulation analyzers or a micro-coagulation system is a device that measures and evaluates the speed of clot formation or clot coagulation. It helps to avoid the chances of heart attack, embolism, and thrombosis by detecting the presence of blood clots in the blood vessels. In December 2018, Sysmex Corporation launched the next generation Automated Blood Coagulation Analyzers CN-6000 and CN-3000, with an aim to provide enhanced levels of productivity, reliability and operability. This analyzer is used to measure coagulation pathway speed as well as thromboplastin and thrombin levels in a few minutes. It works on the principle of optical detection by identifying the turbidity during coagulation of the blood causing change in the intensity of light that is scattered. The coagulation analyzers also provide diagnostic prevention from a heart attack by measuring various biomarkers in the blood. Thus, increasing the prevalence of heart diseases and the rise in new product launches are likely to boost demand for advanced coagulation analyzers in the coming years.

The rising prevalence of cardiac diseases and blood disorders; rising geriatric population who are more prone to cardiac diseases;  growing focus on new product launches by key market players, and rapid development in healthcare infrastructures are some of the factors that are expected to drive the growth of coagulation analyzers market during the forecast period. According to estimates by NHANES in 2016, the prevalence of cardiac diseases in adults was 48.4%, accounting for about 121.5 million adults, globally.

However, high costs associated with coagulation analyzers, and slow adoption rates of these analyzers is projected to hamper the market growth in the upcoming years.

Key Players Covered:

The major companies in the global coagulation analyzers market include F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, NIHON KOHDEN CORPORATION, Sysmex Corporation, Siemens AG, Beckman Coulter, Inc., Abbott., Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. and other prominent players.

Among product type, the automated coagulation analyzer segment is anticipated to expand at the highest growth rate during the forecast period attributable to the benefits such as ease of operation and convenience.

Regional Analysis:

The global coagulation analyzers market can be segmented into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East & Africa. North America is expected to lead the global coagulation analyzers market due to an increasing prevalence of cardiac diseases in the U.S. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 805,00 Americans have a heart attack every year. Also, the availability of advanced healthcare facilities and research and development in coagulation analyzers are responsible factors for dominance.

Europe, on the other hand, is anticipated to hold the second-largest market share because of growing awareness and increasing investment in advanced healthcare technologies. The Asia Pacific and Latin America are expected to register a fast market growth in the forecast period due to the increasing number of blood disorders, and growing demand for advanced therapies and products. The market in the Middle East and Africa is projected to have a substantial growth in the coagulation analysers market.
