Hydrogen sulphide is a chemical compound with the formula H2S. It is colourless gas with a characteristic unpleasant odour of rotten eggs. It is a dangerous and highly poisonous gas that occurs in many petroleum products. Hydrogen sulphide can be naturally found in crude oil, natural gas, and in hot springs, or can be produced by human activities. Hydrogen sulphide is mainly used as a precursor to elemental sulfur, and is also used in laboratories for the analysis of metal ions.

On the basis of end-use industry, global hydrogen sulphide market can be segmented into chemical, pharmaceutical, laboratories and analysis. Among the end-use industry, chemical has the largest hydrogen sulphide market share. Hydrogen sulphide is used to produce sulfuric acid and sulfur which are further used to manufacture pesticides, vareity of sulfides, and dyes. The demand of fertilizers from agriculture dependent countries such as China, India, United States, and others is responsible for the growth of hydrogen sulphide in global market. Additionally, hydrogen sulphide is also used in pharmaceuticals, and to produce heavy water for nucleaar power plants.

The key market driver for the global hydrogen sulphide market is the rise in demand of fertilizers from the agriculture dependent countries. Hydrogen sulphide is used to produce sulfuric acid which is then used for the manufacture of fertilizers.

Key market restraint for the global hydrogen sulphide market is the harmful effects of hydrogen sulphide on the human health. Exposure low concentrations of hydrogen sulphide irritates eyes, nose, and throat. Prolonged exposure to hydrogen sulphide can result into loss of ability of smell. At higher concentrations can result into unconsciousness or death.

Regional Analysis:

The global cold flow improvers market has been segmented into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East & Africa. Asia Pacific occupies the largest share for global hydrogen sulphide market. China, and India are the top contributors to the growth of hydrogen sulphide market in Asia-Pacific region due to the large demand of fertilizers from the agriculture industry. North America occupies second position in global hydrogen sulphide market followed by Europe.
