Activated Alumina Market Size, Share & Industry Analysis, By End-Use (Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Textile, Others), By Application (Desiccants, Catalyst, Absorbent, Others) And Regional Forecast, 2024-2032

Report Format: PDF | Published Date: Ongoing | Report ID: FBI105307 | Status : Upcoming

Activated Alumina is produced by dehydroxylating aluminum hydroxide to form porous material with a definite surface area. It is used as desiccants, absorbent, filter for macromolecules in water, and other applications. Activated alumina during the phase composition can only be represented in metastable form gamma-Al2O3. Activated alumina is widely used as adsorbent in removing fluorine from water and as catalyst in polyethylene and hydrogen peroxide production. It is also employed as charging material in fore line traps in high vacuum applications.

Increasing demand from water treatment application attributed to the porous nature of alumina and adsorbing ability is expected to drive the market. Additionally, increasing oil & gas exploration activities attributed to the increasing demand for fuel is expected to boost demand for activated alumina.

However, alumina is synthesized from aluminum hydroxide. Volatility in price of aluminum hydroxide is expected to hinder market growth.
